Our Services

Street Cleaning

Clean streets

Primoserve Environmental Ltd uses a unique two stage chemical-free hot water, variable pressure cleaning system that not only removes chewing gum but also washes the paving surface, returning to near-original state. For graffiti removal and other types of work the appropriate chemical may be required.

Our system has unique user benefits and restores/removes:

  • Walkways
  • Chewing Gum
  • Paving, Algae
  • Stonework, Graffiti
  • Walls & Flower Beds
  • Moss, Brick Work, Detritus
  • Fascia’s & Guttering and Tarmac

Two Stage Cleaning Process

Not only gum removal, but a full surface clean restores true colour and texture to paving. Any other method will leave a telltale sign of the gum removal (in some cases on particularly absorbent surfaces, base oils in chewing may leave a slight shadowing).

No Surface Damage

We use only plain hot water – no chemicals or abrasives on any surface coupled with a lower pressure.

Trained & Experienced Staff

Fully trained, experienced and directly employed – no sub-contractors or franchises, accountability at all times. Our machinery is fully compliant with current noise pollution legislation and meets EU Standard regulations.

Precautionary Measures

Sand-bagging, sealing and/or wrapping of letterboxes, padlocks, etc, prior to cleaning are standard procedure, to prevent any possible water damage. Windows and fascias etc are washed down leaving behind a clean street and paving but with no other telltale signs of Primoserve having been there.

Waste clearance

clinical-waste removalPrimoserve holds a waste transfer licence that allows us to undertake waste carriage and clearance. We are also able to remove clinical waste.

This includes any waste which poses a threat of infection to humans. The term also includes drugs or other pharmaceutical products. Clinical waste is mainly produced by hospitals, health clinics, doctors’ surgeries and veterinary practices, but also arises from residential homes, nursing homes and private households.

Examples of clinical waste include:
  • Human or animal tissue
  • Blood or other bodily fluids
  • Excretions
  • Drugs or other pharmaceutical products
  • Swabs or dressings
  • Syringes, needles or other sharp instruments
Window & Fascia Cleaning

window cleaning

The operatives will clean the windows and facia using a Reach and Wash pure water system.

The pole will be extended to the correct height to reach the required windows.

The pure water is stored in a tank in the rear of the works vehicle, then pumped through hosing to the top of the water fed pole and applied to the windows and agitated with a soft bristle brush. Once the windows have been cleaned the surface (framework and glass) will be rinsed down with the pure water to wash off any loose debris.

This process will be repeated until all the windows front and rear, have been cleaned.

The operatives will pack away all tools and signs used to carry out the works and the site will be left clean and tidy.

Graffiti Cleaning

graffiti removalWe operate a specialist graffiti response team and work in conjunction with councils, facilities management companies, retail parks and businesses throughout the UK in a bid to keep our surrounding environment nicer to look at.

Graffiti removal requires a specialist approach and Primoserve has a huge amount of experience in this field.

Primoserve is competitively priced with as quick a response time as is possible and because of our professionalism and expertise we are the number one preferred choice for our customers.

Processgraffiti cleaning

Areas requiring chemicals will have it applied to the soiled area by operatives wearing P.P.E. and a stiff broom or small scourer is used to agitate the surface.

The chemical is then left for approximately 15 minutes (depending on the chemical used) to react with the painted material.

After the allotted waiting time has expired the chemical is removed by washing the surface using hot water from the steam cleaning equipment until all the chemical has been removed and cleaned away.

Once the process has been completed, if there is still any soiled area remaining the process will be repeated until the defaced area is clean.

Following cleaning, the area of work is left clean and tidy and any debris is removed from the site.

Colchester Borough Council has called in Primoserve Enviornmental to carry out a deep clean of Colchester High Street. A Primoserve team of four will tackle over over 6,000sq metres of the High Street, using the Gum Genie and highly pressurised steam cleaners ato remove chewing gum and dirt.

Cllr Tim Young, Portfolio Holder for Community Safety, Licensing and Culture, said: “Due to the actions of a few irresponsible people who do not use litter bins to discard their chewing gum in an appropriate way, we have to take this action to ensure the town centre remains clean and tidy.”

He added: “Clean streets make a real difference to a town centre. People tend to have greater respect for the public realm and pride in how the area looks which we find reduces the amount of litter and gum dropped.”
